Master cabinet maker Andre Sagne created his company in 1949.
It was in his first workshop of 100m² that he manufactured furniture for gas rings, white lacquer finished and sold
through the area of La Girande.
In 1953, after some success, he moved to a larger workshop of 1000m² which became the MIRAIL factory, employing 25 craftsmen and remaining in operation for 15 years. It is during this period that Andre Sagne began the manufacture of kitchen units with laminate finishes often arranged into sideboards. Demand continued to grow and sales spread throughout the whole of Aquitaine and surrounding regions.
Opened in 1960, he extended the factory by 700m² so as to install the first machines specifically for the
purpose of manufacturing kitchen units.
In 1968, his kitchens had become so successful that Andre Sagne extended his factory by 1800m² through
a 2nd floor. This coincided with the introduction of solid oak doors to complement the modern range, with
sales spreading throughout France.
 By 1970 the company was exhibiting its products at national furniture exhibitions such as the SALON DU MEUBLES
in Paris and the MEUROPAN in Lyon. Immense success was achieved in 1973 with a model with a particularly original
design, a solid door with a diamond pattern in the style of Louis XIII the very first kitchen to be made in this design.
The market of kitchens in the 70’s was soaring… 1975 saw the construction of a second factory, the FRIMONT,
with 7000m² under the banner of La Cuisine AS. This produced both rustic and modern ranges of kitchens for the middle
market, the more expensive ranges being manufactured in the MIRAIL factory.
1986-1987 saw the construction of the GRIGNONS factory – 10000m² which lead to the closure after 38 years of the
MIRAIL factory. The FRIMONT factory was reorganised to manufacture everything rustic, with the new GRIGNONS factory
producing modern kitchens, all the carcasses, and having the production line for the assembly of all the units – with a
production capacity of 600 units per day.
The success of our products lay first in our vast knowledge and experience in the crafting and finishing of rustic kitchens,
and secondly our ability to adapt to new materials and technology to create kitchen of the styles of today and to meet the
demands of the end user.
Since 1997 our products have been sold under the marque of SAGNE – Kitchens – Bathrooms – Interiors.
Our products carry a 6 YEARS GUARANTEE and proudly wear the coveted NF SEAL OF APPROVAL, both of which
guarantee your piece of mind.
We have been exporting our products for 3 decades. Exports are still growing and represent a substancial part of our sales.
The countries involved include the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, Scandinavia, Switzerland, Belgium, Lithuania,
Morocco and Reunion Isle.
2005 marked two important steps for our company. The first, to guarantee the perpetuity of La Cuisine AS, is the investment
in a brand new state of the art production line. Making its debut in February it ensures optimum quality for the finish of the
carcasses and contemporary models and optimising manufacturing efficiency. The second, the introduction of ultra modern contemporary ranges and colours and sublime rustic finishes, with a more extensive choice of models and carcasses.
